Ahhh...... *grins of relief* Excuse me.

Yesterday was a terrible day at work. Seemed that my workplace was infested with cat-fleas. Three kittens had died in the auditorium over the Chinese New Year long weekend holidays. I can imagine if the kittens had died over the CNY hols then the poor fleas would have to postpone their re-union dinner. That would be at least 4 days of puasa. The very much delayed and long awaited feast begins when some of the staff returns to work on Monday. Fresh blood that had just been feasting on CNY goodies. Hah!! Serves you right for those who had taken the "First-Day-at-Work" Angpow. *jealous!! jealous!!*

Few fellas were bitten on Monday but many did not place much attention to it. Comes Tuesday, more people came back to work and more people were bitten and started scratching. Still, the symptoms were ignored. Wednesday came and people are starting to complain about the itch and now some people are getting a wee bit serious. But still, it didn't ring the alarm. The dreadful day of Thursday came and everyone started to tell their story of The Itch. Where it started and how it spread. Majority of them complained that it started from the ankle upwards. Many had it on their stomach. Then they started comparing the rash marks and they match. Now you can go visit The Beijing Olympics 2008....... Opps.... sorry.... i'm trying my luck for the UOB Match Contest. Hehehe.....

Back to the story. That is when the voice of the employees were raised and the management had to kow-tow to our wish that the place need to be fumigated. Ahh.... the story of the chopsticks comes to mind. The pest control team were called in. I imagine them coming, in Ghostbusters style - If there's some scratching in your legs n thighs.... Who ya gonna call (ghostbusters)...... They did a "misting" job to the place and this morning we saw all the dead roaches lying around. Though they have done treatment to the place, many of us still get fresh bites and rashes and scratch ourselves silly. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and scratch that darn place that is sooo difficult to reach.
